Come join us for the in person 2021 JMG® School Garden Teacher Training Workshop at the Texas A&M Gardens!

This  session will equip you to effectively implement the popular and evidence-based Learn, Grow, Eat & Go! curriculum with your class this fall. Created by teachers, this multifaceted school garden project is fun, academically rich and research-based. Through a linear set of hands-on, rich lessons, you can guide your students step through process of establishing a thriving garden that is easy to create and maintain! Session will also demonstrate student-led & maintained garden builds and feature strategies for building sustainable, teacher-friendly school garden programs.

All JMG curricula are correlated to academic standards for science, math, language arts, and social studies to support school day academic programming. This session will also include evidenced-based research documenting positive program impact on children and families.

Training Location, Parking & Dress

Workshop will begin at the AgriLife Center (556 John Kimbrough, College Station, TX 77843, MAP to workshop)  and transition to The Leach Teaching Gardens at Texas A&M University,

Parking on A&M Campus requires a permit. If you are not an A&M employee you will need a Pre-paid Visitor Permit. It is $5 and valid all day. Parking in Reed Arena lot 100c at the corner of Kimbrough and Penberthy (MAP to parking) is preferred. Dress comfortably for the weather with closed-toe shoes for outdoor activities.

  • lead your class to create an easy-to-build, student-led & maintained garden project

  • create a TEKS-boosting, teacher-friendly and sustainable garden project at your campus
