Simple String Gardens

final product

These little beauties are quick and easy to make, if you do not mind a little mess! By making a series of these individual plants, they form the ‘String Gardens,’ inspired by the Japanese. Additionally, they are perfect to get your anxious hands working with plants to jump start spring, as well as for areas that may not have the space or environment for outdoor plants.

Items Needed:

Plants

Clay Mud

Moss

Some sort of thread or string

Newspaper (to cover your working space)

How to Construct:

Gather your materials. Take the plant out of the container and wrap with the clay. Cover your clay with moss. Then, wrap your string around it to secure the moss in place. Finally, hang your little plant wherever you would like!
